"Sexting" - sending nude pictures via text message - has been causing havoc and creating serious, lasting consequences among teens and young adults. Adults may think they're immune to the backlash that sexting can create (whether they're sending risque photos or steamy messages) - after all, it's a convenient way to flirt with the person you're dating or juice up your marriage from a PG to R rating.
But just as easily as an email can be sent to the wrong person, so can a text. And the "forward" button is always an option - after a bad breakup, a once-playful communication can become your worst nightmare.

yes it has caused a terrible break up between my boyfriend and i because he thought seeing this other girls private area was a big joke and wanted to show all his friends at work how slutty they were. It hurt my feelings very badly and made me feel like i wasnt good enough and he was curious to see what else was out there. We have been broken up for a week and not talking at all. Im devistated over it
